Anti-wrinkle treatments at Mr Aesthetics in Leigh are planned around your facial movement, the areas that concern you and the amount of natural expression you would like to keep. Every treatment begins with an individual consultation so suitability, realistic expectations, possible risks and aftercare can be discussed before you decide whether to proceed.
Mr Aesthetics welcomes clients from Leigh and nearby areas including Atherton, Tyldesley, Wigan and surrounding Greater Manchester communities.
What are anti-wrinkle treatments?
Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only treatments used to temporarily reduce selected muscle movement that contributes to expression lines. Commonly assessed areas include forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet. Other concerns may also be discussed, but treatment is never automatic and depends on a face-to-face assessment.
The purpose is not necessarily to remove every line or prevent all expression. A measured plan can aim to soften selected lines while maintaining a balanced, natural-looking result. Results and duration vary between individuals.

Consultation and suitability
Your consultation includes a discussion of the result you would like, previous treatments, relevant medical information and current medicines. Facial movement and balance are assessed before any treatment plan is agreed. Anti-wrinkle treatment may not be suitable for everyone, and treatment can be postponed or declined when appropriate.
The treatment does not work immediately. Changes normally develop gradually, and the final response is assessed after the treatment has had time to settle. No particular result or duration can be guaranteed.
Possible side effects and downtime
Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur around injection points. Some people experience a temporary headache. Less common complications can include unwanted weakness or asymmetry in nearby muscles. The risks relevant to your proposed treatment will be explained during consultation.
Contact the clinic promptly if you experience an unexpected reaction or have concerns after your appointment.
Aftercare
Follow the personalised aftercare given at your appointment. You may be advised temporarily to avoid rubbing the treated area, strenuous exercise, excessive heat and certain beauty treatments. Do not massage the area unless specifically instructed.
